About Larry
Growing up in Jones Creek, I attended BISD. After graduating from Sam Houston State University, I went to work in the construction industry in the Brazosport area. Shortly afterward, I started my own business, Allied Fence Company, which I oversaw for more than 30 years. My father and I also ran Stanley Construction Company, a provider of concrete foundation solutions as well as road and bridge construction, for more than 10 years.
I was elected Commissioner, Precinct 4 in 1998 and was honored to serve two consecutive terms, through 2006. I am seeking office once again — to serve my fellow neighbors and friends in Brazoria County. I have 8 years of “on the job” experience as County Commissioner.
My wife, Sandy, and I have been blessed with six children — three boys and three girls, and they have blessed us with nine wonderful grandchildren. Three of the families live in Brazoria County, two are residing in Austin, Texas, and one in Ohio. I’m praying we can get them back to Texas! Sandy and I are members of the First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson.
